On April 9, the final of the "TF Securities Cup" Debate Competition of the 34th Luojia Golden Autumn Art Festival of Wuhan University came to an end. The debate team of our School defeated the School of Journalism and Communication team with a score of 4:3 and won the championship.

Haoyan Liu, the third debater of our team, a 2019-grade student majoring in library science, was named the Best Debater in the final.

The topic of the final debate was Is the romance of Chinese culture complicated or simple? As the opposing side, the debaters of our team had a heated debate and discussion with the positive side debaters from literature to aesthetics, from poetry to painting, from the true resonance of the general public to the profound meaning behind cultural symbols, and interpreted the unique romance of China as a simple and pure emotional resonance that returned to the heart, connected with heaven and earth, and condensed with the culture and emotion that have been passed down to this day and dissolved in blood. The debaters' profound speeches and leisurely performances not only presented us with a wonderful performance, but also presented us with a cultural feast.

At the moment of standing on the podium, all the efforts of debaters condensed into the most beautiful rose finally, releasing romance and fragrance. Their wonderful performance has made the voice of the SIM reverberate for a long time, making the SIM style bloom infinitely.

The Debate Competition of the 34th Luojia Golden Autumn Art Festival of Wuhan University started in October, 2022, the semi-final was in November, 2022 and the final was in April, 2023, which lasted for seven months. A total of 31 debate teams participated in the competition. The debating quality, critical thinking ability and serious attitude of the members of our School debate team on the field have been affirmed by the judges unanimously .
