Qingyu Duan introduced the cooperation achievements between Dunhuang Academy and Digital Humanities Research Center of Wuhan University. She believed that compared with other fields, the utilization of cultural heritage was facing greater data organization issues and value mining difficulties because of its decentralized, multi-modal, semantic and multi-cultural characteristics. As a way to realize the great value of big data, intelligent data is a kind of mixed data state, which has the characteristics of flexible scale, hierarchical state, convertible mode and discoverable relationship, and can be used to solve these issues.

Taking Dunhuang cultural heritage as an example, Qingyu Duan introduced a complete set of intelligent data construction solution. Firstly, utilize the existed core data model with relevant international standards, and intelligently process the data combining with data mining technology. In the meantime, the Digital Humanities Research Center of Wuhan University developed a Dunhuang thesaurus to improve the efficiency and accuracy of resource retrieval and standardize the subsequent data labeling and knowledge extraction; Construct the depth semantic annotation framework of Dunhuang murals to promote the understanding of image content and knowledge mining; Construct the ontology of Dunhuang grottoes, develop the knowledge map of Dunhuang grottoes, and provide intelligent data services in a centralized way. Then, with the support of the formed intelligent data set, the image interactive digital narrative system and VR digital narrative system are developed for the public to promote the public's understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage.

After the keynote report, Qingyu Duan and Tianjiao Qi, Researcher at the Research Center for Digital Humanities of Renmin University of China, brought in-depth and enlightening dialogues on digital humanities project construction and professional education.

The Digital Humanities Research Center of Wuhan University has long been concerned about the intelligent data construction of cultural heritage. The achievements of Dunhuang intelligent data strongly support the management, upgrading, development and application of Dunhuang digital resources, and have gained extensive academic influence at home and abroad. The achievements of Dunhuang intelligent data was presented and exhibited in internationally renowned conferences and academic institutions, such as the Best Practice session of the Dublin Core Metadata Annual Meeting, Joint Conference on Digital Libraries, Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science and Technology, École française d'Extrême-Orient, the University of Hong Kong, etc. The exhibition in the Dunhuang Grottoes Archaeological Special Exhibition, planned by Dunhuang Academy and Wuhan University, was received great feedback from general public in revitalizing the cultural heritage of digital intelligence empowerment. With the Digital Humanities Research Center of Wuhan University as the main body, the Intelligent Computing of Cultural Heritage Laboratory, Wuhan University, was in the pilot construction list of the first batch of Philosophy and Social Sciences Laboratory of the Ministry of Education in the field of cultural heritage in 2021.

The World Data Forum is one of the important global conferences initiated by the United Nations, and it has been held for three times since 2017. Focusing on four major themes, such as data innovation and cooperation, this forum was jointly organized by the National Bureau of Statistics and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and held in Hangzhou from April 24 to 27. The Data and Youth Forum is one of the satellite events of the World Data Forum, which was initiated by the United Nations University Institute in Macau to provide a platform for dialogue and exchange between different stakeholders who are interested in or affected by data and its impact on youth.
