Recently, the Publishers Association of China published the list of the 8th China Excellent Publication Award. The article Innovation of Global Academic Publishing Service Model Based on Knowledge Chains, written by Ting Cong, published in the 1st Issue of Publishing Journal (in Chinese) in 2018, won the 8th China Excellent Publication Award (Published Scientific Research Articles).

The China Excellent Publication Award, started from 2006, has three sub-awards: Books Award, Audio and Video E-publication Award and Published Scientific Research Articles Award. The China Excellent Publication Award are compared and assessed once every two years. The China Excellent Publication Award, Five Ones Projects Award and China Publishing Government Award are listed as the three major awards in China's publishing field. In the 8th China Excellent Publication Award, there were 100 award-winning books and 100 nomination awards; 30 items award-winning audio and video E-publication and 80 nomination awards; 30 articles won the Published Scientific Research Articles.

Publishing Journal (in Chinese) is a CSSCI source journal, national Chinese core journal, Chinese core journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (Level A), a journal included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), an excellent journal of Hubei Province, and sponsored by Wuhan University's Special Project for the Construction of Excellent Journals in Humanities and Social Sciences. Hubei Press and Publication Bureau is in charge of this journal, Hubei Editorial Society and Wuhan University manages it. Publishing Journal (in Chinese) founded in 1993 and published by the School of Information Management, Wuhan University since 2006.
