On the morning of March 10, Fang Wei, Professor and Dean of the School of Economics, Henan Institute of Technology, and her team came to our School to discuss the construction and development of the discipline of E-commerce.

Ziming Zeng, Professor and Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce,

Min Zhang presided over the meeting.

Yaolin Jiang warmly welcomed Fang Wei and her team, and introduced the information of the School from the aspects of organizational structure, discipline construction, talents education, international exchange, social service and opportunities and challenges of discipline development.

Min Zhang introduced the construction of e-commerce major in detail from eight aspects: education objectives, general discipline, teaching platform, teaching norms, teaching reform, quality assurance, first-level construction and education quality, and proposed that e-commerce major should focus on "one axis, two wings and three innovations" and focus on cultivating talents who understand technology, data, management and industry.

Starting from the practical requirements in the course teaching, Yiwei Gong proposed that the integration with enterprises (industries) should be paid attention to in the education process of e-commerce undergraduates, so as to cultivate application-oriented talents.

Ziming Zeng introduced the basic information of postgraduate program in e-commerce, and proposed to promote the high-quality development of postgraduate education and improve the scientific research level and academic innovation ability.

Chaocheng He put forward the pain points and opportunities faced by rural e-commerce with the theme of The Practice of Agricultural Business Service in Rural Revitalization, and introduced the application and development of e-commerce major in practice with the project Laisanjin as an example.

In the session of undergraduate students’ speech, Weihang Wang, a 2019-grade undergraduate student, said that the School was full of humanistic care for the cultivation of undergraduates. From the construction of speciality courses and general courses, he thought that e-commerce major should pay more attention to the cultivation of information literacy, focusing on data analysis ability, management ability and technology application ability.

Guanghong Zhang, a 2020-grade undergraduate student, believed that e-commerce major was did a good job in the curriculum, cooperation and exchanges, and the relationship between teachers and students.

Participants also had in-depth exchanges on the opening of internship and training platform, the opening of summer schools and the cooperation with education system. Everyone said that the current development of e-commerce has been facing new opportunities and challenges. They hoped that the two sides would strengthen exchanges and discussions in the future and further promote the high-level construction of E-commerce discipline.
