Four Journals Managed by our School were Included in the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (2022)

On March 17, AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (2022) was published. Four journals managed by our School were all included in it.

Among them, Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese) was rated as the Authoritative Journal in Library, Information and Archives, Publishing Journal (in Chinese) was rated as the Core Journal in Journalism and Communication, Journal of Information Resources Management (in Chinese) was rated as the Core Journal in Library, Information and Archives, Data and Information Management was rated as the Foreign Languages Included Journal in Library, Information and Archives.

Compared with the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (2018) (Second Edition), the three Chinese journals were classified as Veteran Journals, and the evaluation grades were in consistent with those in 2018. The English journal Data and Information Management was classified as Foreign Languages Journal with ISSN only, which was included in the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals for the first time.

The AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (2022) rated 1,924 veteran journals, 117 new journals and 148 foreign languages journals in 33 disciplines of humanities and social sciences in China, 2,189 journals in total.

Among the veteran journals, 51 journals were included in Library, Information and Archives. The 51 journals included 1 top-tier journal (1.96%), 2 authoritative journals (3.92%), 16 core journals (31.37%), 22 extended journals (43.14%) and 10 included journals (19.61%).

38 journals were included in Journalism and Communication. The 38 journals included 1 top-tier journal (2.63%), 1 authoritative journals (2.63%), 11 core journals (28.95%), 18 extended journals (47.37%) and 7 included journals (18.42%).

Among the foreign languages journals, 51 journals have held China standard serial number (CN), and the other 97 foreign languages journals have had international standard serial number (ISSN) only, which was the first time that this Report has evaluated foreign languages journals with ISSN only.

The AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals is formulated and published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Evaluation Studies (CASSES), which is one of the main core journals catalogue in China’s domestic academic community at present. It was first published in 2014 and updated every four years. The AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (2022) published this time is the third edition.
