Recently, Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese) was included in the Scopus abstract and citation database officially after been examined and approved by the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB).

Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese) is a comprehensive academic journal in information resources management, hosted by Wuhan University, and managed by the School of Information Management, Wuhan University and Center for Studies of Information Resources, Wuhan University. Being selected in the Scopus abstract and citation database is a full affirmation of the quality of the journal, which shows that its academic level and reputation have been recognized by international and domestic peer experts.

Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese) was founded in 1984, and the current Editor-in-Chief is Chuanfu Chen, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Wuhan University. The journal aims to explore the theory, technical methods and applications of information issues at the individual-organization-society level, as well as the work practices of relevant institutions in the fields of library, information and technology, archives and so on, so as to promote the positive interaction between information, technology and human being.

The journal is funded by the National Social Science Fund of China. It is the national core Chinese journal, the CSSCI source journal, has been included in the FMS Journal Rating Guide (Federation of Management Societies of China), and has been rated as important source journal in the Reprint Index of Newspapers and Journals by Renmin University of China, Hubei Province Academic Journal with Great Influence, and Hubei Province Excellent Journal for many years. In March, 2023, this journal was rated as the Authoritative Journal in Library, Information and Archives in the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report on China Humanities and Social Sciences Journals.
