On March 22, Quacquarelli Symonds Limited published the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. Our School’s Library & Information Management subject ranked 10th in the world, which was the highest ranking of educational institutions in Asia.

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, the subject of our School jumped from the 47th in the world in 2019 to the 17th in 2022, and entered the top 10 in the world for the first time in 2023. In the ranking of the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, our School’s Library & Information Management jumped from the 30th in the world in 2018 to the 6th in 2022, and all the indicators ranked among the top universities in China.

As the birthplace of library science and information science education in China, our School has always led the development of the subject and improve the subject’s international reputation, and has regarded it as our School’s duty and mission.

In the future, the School should take the opportunity of the construction of the first-class subjects of the world, the first-class university of the world, and the construction of new liberal arts, to contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of subject system, academic system and discourse system of information management with Chinese characteristics and Chinese style.
