On the morning of April 17, Mingxue Peng, CPC Deputy Secretary and Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, and her party came to the School to exchange views on grass-roots Party building, students' ideological and political education and employment guidance. Wei Lu, Dean of our School, Qian Dai, CPC Deputy Secretary of our School and others attended the meeting.

Wei Lu extended a warm welcome to Mingxue Peng and her party. Wei Lu said that the schools of the two sides are closely contacted and have close exchanges in discipline construction and personnel training, and he hoped that the two sides could further expand the fields of exchanges and cooperation and promote the high-quality development of all work.

Qian Dai introduced the basic information of the School from the aspects of historical development, specialties setting, teaching staff, talent education, etc., and focused on the undergraduate education management and the construction of the counselor team from the aspects of building a general ideological and political work pattern, optimizing the education and training system, strictly observing the bottom line of safety and stability, and promoting the professional development of the counselor team.

Yongqiang Sun, head of the first batch of teachers' CPC Secretary Double Leaders Studio, and Zike Jiang, Organizer of Doctoral Students CPC Branch of Library Science, introduced the construction of the Studio and Party branch respectively. Yongqiang Sun believed that taking the system as the starting point and relying on disciplines to promote the deep integration of Party building work and professional work were the three key points in the construction of teachers' Party branch. Zike Jiang pointed out that strengthening the collaborative linkage between student branches and teachers' branches is conducive to improve the quality of students’ Party building.

The two sides had a free exchange and discussion on the cooperation between education and teaching, the ideological and political construction of courses and the typical cultivation of students. Mingxue Peng said that although the two sides have different background and condition, the innovative practices and construction experience of the School of Information Management in related fields were very inspiring. In the future, it was necessary to further strengthen communication, learn from each other and promote the efficient development of the work of the two schools.

This exchange meeting was also the third activity of our School's Counselor Workshop. The purpose of the Workshop is to build a platform for the exchange and mutual promotion of counselors, and to improve the professionalism of School counselors through cross-school and cross-university work exchanges. we have conducted exchange and discussion activities with the College of Life Sciences, and the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering earlier this year.
