On the afternoon of May 6, experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute for Science of Science, and RealAI Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. gathered in our School to talk about artificial intelligence governance.
Feng Xu, Executive Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence Development Center of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, presided over the event.

Dr. Jincheng Shi, from Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, with the topic of Innovation Ecology and Empowerment of Large Models, started from the evolution path of artificial intelligence, he summarized the types, advantages, core characteristics and innovation modes of large models, and showed the ecological panorama of large model industries. Taking creativity generation and content change as examples, Jincheng Shi analyzed the present situation and prospect of innovation and empowerment via large models, compared the differences of creativity generation frameworks in different stages, and discussed the human-machine relationship and the emergence of new business in the era of digital intelligence.

Cui Huang, Professor at Zhejiang University, brought a sharing entitled ChatGPT and Intelligent Social Governance. She combed the appearance, development process and characteristics of ChatGPT, dismantled the technical route from the perspective of large model+big data+great computing power, and analyzed the thought innovation from two aspects of self-study by models+teaching by human. From the perspective of intelligent social governance, she summarized the current reaction of human society to ChatGPT, analyzed its impact and influence on human society, and put forward her own opinions on the construction of intelligent society.

After the two experts and scholars made keynote speeches, the participants had an in-depth discussion on artificial intelligence governance. Feng Xu summarized and commented on this event. This event tracked the up-to-date progress of generative artificial intelligence, clarified the new situation of artificial intelligence development and the new challenges faced by governance, and made a useful exploration for artificial intelligence governance and intelligent society construction.
