Class Meeting and Professional Cognitive Practice of 2020-grade and 2021-grade Undergraduates Majoring in E-commerce

In order to deepen the understanding of the development and frontiers of digital e-commerce industry in the digital economy era, on May 17, the 2020-grade and 2021-grade undergraduates majoring in E-commerce of our School, led by Min Zhang, Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce, Ziming Zeng, Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce, Weiwei Yan, Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce, carried out professional cognitive practice.

At the first stop, the students went to JD Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics Park. The working staff guided the students to visit the intelligent sorting center and intelligent warehouses, such as Tianlang Warehouse and Dilang Warehouse. During the visit, the working staff explained them one by one, and the students understood the warehousing, sorting and distribution processes of JD Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics, as well as the specific operation steps of artificial intelligence robot sorting and unmanned warehouse. After the visit in the morning, the 2021-grade students expressed their new understanding of e-commerce that e-commerce is not just sitting in office, logistics and warehousing as important part in e-commerce link should also be paid more attention.

At the second stop, the students walked into Wuhan Yangtze International Trading Co., Ltd. The company integrates the functions of live broadcast, conference, exhibition and product creation, and provides a digital, sharing and youthful working space. The students visited the company's digital equipment, but also understood the operation mode and development trend of digital e-commerce industry center. In this dynamic and innovative environment, the students felt infinite potential of digital economy.

A manager of Wuhan Yangtze International Trading Co., Ltd. gave two lectures which were Brand Go to Overseas Market and TikTok Knowledge Sharing Salon. Through the lectures, the students understood the significance of brand going to overseas market and the development status and bottlenecks of the e-commerce that can satisfy interest, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the lecturers on related questions. The students were aware that e-commerce going to overseas market is an emerging trend, and the content that can be excavated is incalculable. Therefore, many e-commerce companies have been exploring the cross-border e-commerce field actively, building China brands and telling the story of China.

Through a whole day's visit, thematic sharing and discussions, the students have a new understanding of intelligent logistics and supply chain, digital transformation of industry, digital e-commerce, etc., broaden their professional horizons, and further understand the development and application prospects of e-commerce in the era of digital intelligence.

After the visit, Xu Yang, a student, said that in this practice, she was deeply impressed by the two lectures. The term "cross-border e-commerce", which was passed over in class, came to life under the lecturer's explanation. It was the first time that she knew there was such a rich content in it. Her greatest feeling was that there was no practice and no e-commerce, and she hoped that in the future study, she could integrate her knowledge through practice and do something.

Zhuohuan Yang, a student, was also deeply touched:"In this professional cognitive practice, we visited JD Asia No.1 Intelligent Logistics Park and Wuhan Yangtze International Trading Co., Ltd., and they constructed a clearer e-commerce scenario from the upstream and downstream of the e-commerce industry chain respectively. With the deepening of digital economy, the form of e-commerce is also changing and developing. The digital transformation and upgrading of JD logistics has greatly reduced the labor cost of the downstream logistics chain of e-commerce and improved the logistics efficiency by intelligently reducing manual operation through machines. At the upper end of the industry chain, the forms of e-commerce products are constantly enriched, and digital platforms are actively exploring overseas market. E-commerce companies regard' building Chinese brands and telling the story of Chinese e-commerce' as one of the key points of company development. " She said that as student majoring in e-commerce, she should strive to meet the requirements of the country for talents, strengthen professional knowledge, broaden professional horizons, and inject youth vitality into the development of the digital economy.
