On the afternoon of June 19, our School held a Strategic Cooperation Exchange Meeting with Shanghai Library in order to thoroughly implement the major strategic needs of Education Power, deepen the cooperation between academic communities and industries, cultivate high-quality new liberal arts talents, and promote the Teaching and Learning Revolution further.

Wei Liu, Curator of Shanghai Library, heads of relevant functional departments, Congjing Ran, Director of the Department of Library Science of our School, and some teachers' representatives attended the meeting.

Congjing Ran expressed his gratitude to the Shanghai Library for its continuous support to the School, introduced the information of library science of the School, and put forward some suggestions on the cooperation of the two sides in the future, such as joint training of high-end talents, collaborative construction of smart library, co-creation of consultancy platforms, cooperation in the construction of think tanks, joint construction of scientific and technological services, and cooperative construction of new platforms.

Wei Liu spoke highly of our School's contribution to the training of information management professionals and scientific research. He expressed the hope to establish long-term, comprehensive and in-depth strategic cooperation in industry-university-research, customized talent training, database development, and joint training of advanced talents on strategic tasks such as high-quality development of library cause and training of library science professionals.

Subsequently, the two sides discussed issues such as students' internship and employment, collaborative education between library and school and personalized personnel training, postdoctoral cooperation plan, smart library laboratory plan, digital humanities theory and practice, digital development and sharing of ancient books, and reached a consensus on how to promote the implementation of cooperation.
